MET Gala 2013

Yesterday was just one of the most anticipated events of the year: The Met Ball Costume Institute Gala. For those not familiar, is an event that occurs annually since 1984. It is sponsored by VOGUE magazine and of course the hostess is the director, Anna Wintour. Each year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art New York brings together celebrities who wear gowns from top designers, and this time the dress code of the evening was "PUNK".

For me, PUNK, wasn't that present as we all expected, only few respected this condition. Many were wearing amazing looks, although they weren't a "punk girl", and other girls tried to be a punk, but they were a BIG FAIL.

I leave my picks of the best, worst, and others that I'm not sure.

Ayer se llevó acabo uno de los eventos mas esperados del año: El Met Ball Costume Institute Gala. Para quienes no lo conocen, es un evento que se da anualmente desde el año 1984. Es auspiciado por la revista VOGUE y por supuesto su anfitriona es su directora, Anna Wintour. Cada año, el Museo de Arte Metropolitano de New York reúne a importantisimas celebridades quienes llevan trajes de los mejores diseñadores, y en esta oportunidad el dress code de la noche fue el "PUNK".

A mi parecer, el PUNK no estuvo muy presente como se esperaba, fueron pocas las que respetaron esta condición. Muchas que aunque no eran muy "punketas" sus looks eran increibles, y otras trataron de ser unas chicas punk, pero fueron un BIG FAIL.

TREND: Clear accesories

Hey Fashionistas!!!

Today's post is about TREND! I want to talk to you about the accesories and shoes trend that you will be seeing this upcoming summer, and it is transparency or clearing. You will see it not only on clothes but in shoes and bags.
Many designers like Valentino, Stella McCartney, Burberry and Gucci did their proposals.
Let´s remember "CANDY collection" by Furla, bags made by plastic.


Hola hola mis Fashionistas!!!

Hoy es POST de tendencia!!! Quiero hablarles de la que se llevará este próximo verano en accesorios y calzado. Ella es: la transparencia. Esta no solo es aplicada para las prendas, sino que también llegó a accesorios como bolsos y clutches, y hasta para el calzado. 

Muchos diseñadores como Valentino, Stella McCartney, Burberry y Gucci hicieron sus propuestas. 

Recordemos la colección "CANDY" de Furla, bolsos hechos de plástico, la cual fue un éxito.  

And although Furla presented his collection of handbags with colored plastics, the trend is more colorless transparency.

Y aunque Furla presentó su colección de bolsos con plásticos de colores, la tendencia va mas por la transparencia incolora.

Im not a huge fan of clear shoes, but if they have only a clear detail I think I could wear them, like this: 

Si los zapatos son completamente transparentes no soy fan. Me gustan si tienen solo un toque de transparencia como estos:

I prefer bags, but Im not sure if I want the world to know what's inside my purse.

Los bolsos me gustan mas, pero de igual manera no se si quiero que el mundo entero sepa que llevo dentro.

Look of the day: Contrast

Fashionistas!!!

This will be my first post in english. I notice that I've been visited by english speakers, so I think it's time to start talking some english around here. 
The look for today is about contrast. I thought it will be very interesting if I do some pictures in typicals places wearing some classy clothes. Im still doing the stripes thing, I'm trapped by them!!!

El look de hoy se trata de contrastes. Me pareció súper interesante hacer unas tomas en una locación típica de donde vivo (Isla de Margarita, Venezuela), llevando un outfit mas elegante. Igualmente, continuo con la tendencia de las rayas, que como les comente en el post pasado, me tiene atrapada!!!
